Re: 2010 Spring Band Trip to Atlanta, GA
The Waltrip High School Ram Band has scheduled a field trip to Atlanta, GA from April 14 – 18, 2010. The original cost of the trip was set at $580.00, but has now been reduced to $495.00 per student. The cost of the trip includes hotel accommodations, two meals a day, tickets to all attractions/activities, contest fees and charter bus transportation. We are hoping due to the reduction in cost, we will have more of our band students participate. The band will perform in a national contest in Atlanta, which will include performances by our concert and jazz groups. They will also visit special attractions, such as, the MLK National Museum, Stone Mountain, Coca-Cola Museum, CNN News Tour and Six Flags Over Georgia. We have asked all students to make a non-refundable deposit of $100 to secure their spot on the spring trip. The final payment or balance of the trip will be due on March 10, 2010. The band trip will be highly chaperoned by some of our own Band Parents that have cleared a background security check thru HISD. Please keep in mind there will be more specific information to come in the near future. I encourage you to support your child and the Waltrip Band to help make this trip a success.
